Description
Japi, is originally used as protective headgear woven out of bamboo and palm leaves worn by farmers protection against sun and rain. Being considered as indigenous attire of Assam, Japi is used in traditional stories and folk culture. The same Japi motif has been for a long time being used as a design in the traditional fabrics of Assamese culture.
In our fusion series, Neev has tried to match exquisite Applique or cut work fabric of Barmer District of Rajasthan with traditional Japi design of Assamese culture to bring out a range of extravagant pieces of apparel.
